Leave a Gift in Your Will

PZ Wousan Birthday 05 21 ONB LR 47

Imagine…

An ice cap without penguins…

A rainforest without orang-utans…

A savannah without elephants…

Animals and plants are disappearing from the Earth at an alarming rate. At the present rate of extinction, over 10,000 species could disappear by the year 2050, FOREVER.

We work to prevent the extinction of threatened species both in the UK and overseas. Our conservation projects aim to save animals and plants in the wild and we are also involved in co-ordinated breeding programmes.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to receive some wonderful gifts. Gifts in wills and donations help us to save species from extinction. Marie Le Fevre’s gift of £½ million helped us to build our Ape Centre home to Critically Endangered orang-utans and Western lowland gorillas. An anonymous donor gave us £36,000 that is helping in the breeding of threatened giraffes. We are also very grateful to receive smaller donations which enable us to plant new trees, buy new machinery and provide play items for animals and children alike.

Gifts of any size make a real difference to our vital conservation and education work we do, so join us today. Together we can make a difference.

“I would like to leave Paignton Zoo a gift in my will – what should I do?”

1.

Read our ‘Making a Will’ guide by clicking the button below:

2.

It’s vital to include our full name. Please specify that you are leaving a gift to:

  • Wild Planet Trust – registered charity number 306622
  • Paignton Zoo – registered charity number 300923
  • Newquay Zoo – registered charity number 300923

3.

Make the most of your gift. A gift of a percentage of your estate (a residuary gift) will make the biggest difference to us; however, you may choose to leave us a gift of a fixed sum of money (a pecuniary gift).

4.

Please let us know. Telling us about your gift will enable us to plan for the future as it gives us a rough idea of how much we can commit to our vital work. This is not a binding commitment, and anything you tell us is completely private and confidential.

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss your gift, please contact us:
