Join us to celebrate books and the love of reading this World Book Day on Thursday 7th March 2019!

In collaboration with Torbay Libraries, we will be running FREE* storytelling and animal mask-making sessions for young children (under 5's) on the 6th and 7th March 2019. The books being read by the library will be 'Jungle Jamboree' (by Jo Empsom) and 'Oi Frog' (by Kes Gray and Jim Field).

Also for both days, children can come to the Zoo dressed as their favourite book character to be in with the chance to win a standard animal adoption of their choice!

The session on Wednesday 6th March will run from 1:30pm to 2:30pm (fully booked) and the sessions on Thursday 7th March are from 10:30am to 11:30am (fully booked) and then 1:30pm to 2:30pm (fully booked) for under 5s.

The session for primary age home schooled children (5-11 years) is on Thursday 7th March from 12pm to 1pm. Please call 01803 697510 to book onto this session (same regulations as below apply).

Please note that there is a limit of 20 children max. per session. For capacity reasons, we are only able to have one adult per child attend.

*If you are not an Annual Pass member, standard Zoo admission rates apply.
