For 5 months from the end of March 2020, Paignton Zoo will be home to over 80 giant wild animal models made from over 1 million LEGO® bricks! From a giant gorilla, a jumbo size elephant and a majestic lion, to marvellous macaws, beautiful butterflies and a cool crocodile, these stunning LEGO® brick animals will form The Great Big Brick Safari Trail for visitors to follow around the zoo.

The Great Big Brick Safari runs from Saturday 28th March until Tuesday 1st September 2020.

Brick Amnesty

The Great Big Brick Safari will also feature a fun Interactive Zone, including brick pits so you can create your own masterpieces.

From Monday 7th October, we'll be running an appeal for unwanted plastic toy building bricks. We’ll happily accept any brand of plastic toy brick. And once the event is over, we’ll donate the bricks on to play groups, schools, scout/guide groups etc.

So, if you have some plastic toy bricks that you don’t want, you can pop them into the drop-off point at the zoo entrance and we’ll sort them and clean them ready for the start of The Great Big Brick Safari.

Anyone who donates bricks to us, will be entered into a draw to win one of five Annual Saver Passes to Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts and Newquay Zoo.

If you wish to help with our Brick Appeal by collecting bricks at your office or school, please download our Brick Appeal poster here.
