
Paignton Zoo & Torbay Gin ‘Matobo’ wins Gold at Taste of the West awards
Torbay Gin’s Matobo Gin, created in collaboration with Paignton Zoo, has received a gold medal at the Taste of the West Awards. With its unique blend of African-inspired botanicals, this is the first time the gin has been entered into the competition.
Torbay Gin, in partnership with Paignton Zoo, is supporting wildlife conservation efforts through the Wild Planet Trust charity project in Zimbabwe. This collaboration reflects Paignton Zoo’s dedication to working with local businesses to support community and global conservation initiatives.

Since its release in the summer, Torbay Gin have showcased Matobo at several events, including Powderham Food Festival, Cockington Apple Day, and the Torre Abbey Christmas market. Its unique blend of botanicals and smooth finish have made it a favourite amongst those that have tried it.
