Meet Mo the Sloth: Your Chance to Win a ‘Meet & Greet’ at Paignton Zoo
Animal lovers are to be given the chance to be the first to meet Paignton Zoo’s new sloth, the charity has announced.
The Linne’s two-toed sloth, who is named Mo, has garnered a lot of attention since he arrived at the zoo earlier this year. Now, the charity is delighted to be offering sloth enthusiasts the chance of a lifetime; a ‘Meet & Greet’ encounter with the adorable mammal.
A sloth-themed prize draw will launch on 1 November to win the chance to meet Mo in person. The supervised ‘Meet & Greet’ will include going behind the scenes in his enclosure, meeting with one of his dedicated keepers and the opportunity to handfeed the sloth some of his favourite snacks. The top prize will also include free entry into the zoo as well as complimentary refreshments in the zoo’s Island Restaurant.
Lisa Britton, Head of Conservation Services for Paignton Zoo, commented:
“We are very excited for the opportunity to share our enthusiasm for Mo with our fellow sloth fans. But the best part is that those who join in aren’t just entering a competition; they’re making a tangible difference to the lives of our animals. It means so much to us to be able to give back to our supporters and zoo community.”
A number of sloth themed runner-up prizes will also be up for grabs.
The money raised from the online raffle will go towards Paignton Zoo’s vital conservation work and the daily care of their animals.
The zoo has added that they hope to make the prize draws a regular thing, offering different themed prizes for different months. They are currently exploring options for competitions with other animal themes, including lions, red pandas and fan-favourite Fig, the binturong.
Cost of entry starts at £5. Prize draw opens on 1 November.
