Glowing praise for opening night of GloWild at Paignton Zoo

Paignton Zoo has started off the festive season with a bang, with the launch of their GloWild winter light experience.

This neon extravaganza of immersive installations, light tunnels and illuminated animals is Paignton Zoo’s biggest ever event, and will give visitors the chance to see the zoo like never before.

Alongside the magical illuminations, which take you on a journey around the zoo, there will also be performers, live music, an array of exciting food options and an under-the-sea themed silent disco.

Katie White, Paignton Zoo Events Manager, said:

“After so many months of preparation, it is so exciting to be able to share this amazing experience and see how much our visitors are enjoying GloWild.”

Cornish content creator, Ashleigh George, said on her Instagram account:

“What an incredible evening! There was so much to see and do and the lights were beautiful. We all wrapped up warm and enjoyed immersing ourselves in everything on offer.”

Love Island’s Jess Lever called it ‘the cutest evening.’

GloWild runs until Tuesday 2 January 2024, and tickets are available to buy online now. Tickets cost £20.50 for adults and £14.50 for children, with special discounts available for Paignton Zoo Members.

The zoo has also announced that they will be running a photo competition for visitors. Followers who use the #PZGloWild and tag @PaigntonZoo in their posts with the giant chameleon light installation will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win an animal experience.

Businesses will also be able to treat their staff to an amazing and unique Christmas party at GloWild, with Paignton’s special corporate party packages. These include welcome drinks, a festive buffet, use of a private function room and free parking, as well as the stunning GloWild spectacle.
