Beer and conservation

Paignton Zoo Environmental Park's collaboration with one local business is the envy of many conservationists – because it's producing money and beer. Bays Brewery, in Paignton, has brewed one special beer for each of the last three summers, raising many thousands of pounds for conservation.
In 2015 it was Tall Order - Bays donated 10p from every pint sold, raising an impressive £2300.
Pete Salmon, Director at Bays Brewery said: "We are delighted to support such a good cause. In this partnership, we do what we do best – make great beer – while the Zoo makes money. That's the key to a successful local partnership, and this has been a great success. The benefits to us are awareness and association with a good cause, the benefit to the Zoo is much needed cash. And the benefit to everyone is a refreshing pint of ale. Cheers!"
There will be another rhino themed ale in 2016 to tie in with Paignton Zoo's Great Big Rhino Project. It just goes to show – when you raise a glass, you can raise money!
