As a valued Annual Pass holder, we wanted to update you on some essential work that is going on at Paignton Zoo over the next few months and into 2022. Our boardwalk is being redeveloped, so when you visit the zoo from now on your entry and exit route will be different until the work is completed. Instead of going across the boardwalk, you will be directed through Brookside Aviary and then follow the signposted path around into the zoo. When you exit the zoo, follow the big cats route back to Brookside Aviary.
This is an important redevelopment for Paignton Zoo and we wanted to wait until after our busy summer season to undertake this work. As you are probably aware, there is a nationwide shortage of building materials, so we are working with our contractors to start this exciting project as soon as possible. Once the building work starts there may be slight disruption on site, however it should not affect your experience at the zoo.
Our Hangout takeaway will be open during this time. You can purchase drinks, hot and cold snacks and ice cream here if you want something to eat before you reach the Island Restaurant.
We’ll be keeping the Paignton Zoo website updated with news on how our boardwalk redevelopment is progressing. Hopefully we’ll all be able to turn left on entry soon!
Thank you for your ongoing support during this time.
