Crested Pigeon

Habitat
The crested pigeon is native to lightly wooded grasslands of Australia.
Wild Diet
They eat a mix of seeds, crops, weeds and insects.
Behaviour
A sociable bird that can be seen in pairs and small flocks. It takes off with a whistling sound as the air rushes over their wings.
Breeding
Males will perform a display flight and bow to the female. Pigeons notoriously make terrible nests out of haphazard twigs. Two eggs will hatch after 2.5 weeks and chicks will fledge after 1 to 2 weeks.
