By sponsoring a lion at the zoo, your money will go towards the care of our big cats and vital wildlife conservation projects across the world.
Our sponsorship packs make an amazing gift for animal lovers of any age. Prices start from as little as £35 per year, with three different packs to choose from.
We are home to African lions Boss, Semira and Amahle! The sibling group were born back in August 2012 at Longleat Safari Park, before moving to Newquay Zoo. The trio moved to Paignton Zoo in March 2023.
How do I sponsor a lion?
First choose the sponsorship package that you wish to purchase online from the options below and then go on make your animal selection.
Sponsorships apply to the species rather than individual animals. This is because some of our animals may move to other zoos as part of breeding programmes. If your sponsored species moves, we will advise you and you will be given the opportunity to transfer your sponsorship to another species.
Please note that our sponsorship gift packs are only available for UK delivery.

- Your name displayed in the zoo for 12 months
Junior sponsorship gift box – £54 (Previously £59)
Includes all items within the standard sponsorship pack plus:
- An eco-friendly tiger soft toy*
- One child day ticket to Paignton Zoo
- Due to supply issues, we currently do not have any presentation boxes available. The price is reduced to reflect this.
