Our sponsorship packs make a super gift for animal lovers of any age. Prices start from as little as £35 per year, with three different packs to choose from.
At Paignton Zoo, we’re fortunate to be home to a bachelor group of Western lowland gorillas: Pertinax, Kivu, Kiondo and N’Dowe. They may be the smallest of the gorilla subspecies, but this does not make them any less impressive! Western lowland gorillas are Critically Endangered, mainly as a result of habitat degradation and poaching.
Conservation education programmes and ecotourism are being developed to encourage protection of gorillas within reserves in the wild. There is also a European Endangered Species breeding Programme (EEP) for this species of gorilla.
How do I sponsor a gorilla?
First choose the sponsorship package that you wish to purchase online from the options below and then go on make your animal selection.
Sponsorships apply to the species rather than individual animals. This is because some of our animals may move to other zoos as part of breeding programmes. If your sponsored species moves, we will advise you and you will be given the opportunity to transfer your sponsorship to another species.

- A gorilla soft toy*
- One child day ticket to Paignton Zoo
