Island Restaurant
Located in the heart of the Zoo and overlooking Gibbon Island, the Island Restaurant is the ideal place to stop for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.
Serving a wide range of food, from sandwiches, cakes and ice-creams to delicious main meals, salads and jacket potatoes, the Island Restaurant is open daily from 10.00 a.m. until half an hour before the Zoo closes.
There is plenty of seating inside, or on sunny days why not enjoy your meal on the lawn outside the restaurant?
Oasis Bar
The Oasis Bar is next to the Island Restaurant. This fully licensed bar is open every day from 12.00 noon until 4.30 p.m. all year round, serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You will find a good selection of lagers, bitters, ciders, wines, spirits and fruit juices.
There is plenty of seating available in the bar area and there is also outside seating available for those lovely sunny days. So, why not enjoy a nice drink in our bar whilst watching the gibbons playing in the trees?
Gibbon Island Snack Shack
This coffee shop and takeaway offers a range of snacks including Cornish pasties by Proper Cornish, freshly ground fairtrade coffee, tea and hot chocolate, freshly made sandwiches, baguettes and wraps, One water and a selection of fairtrade juices.
Open from 10.00 a.m., it’s ideal for those visitors who may be peckish and can’t resist a steak, vegetable or cheese and onion pasty and a cup of freshly ground fairtrade coffee.
Children’s boxes are also available containing a sandwich, fairtrade juice carton, fromage frais and pack of dried fruit.
Other takeaways and coffee shop
There are various kiosks located around the Zoo serving ice-cream, fast food and other snacks, as well as hot and cold drinks.
