Why not make a donation to Paignton Zoo direct from your salary?
As Paignton Zoo is a registered charity you can select us as your chosen charity to receive an automatic donation from your salary. This is an easy, tax effective, way for you to support our conservation work.
Donating directly from your salary means you can give to us before you are taxed, making your gift worth even more. Paignton Zoo benefits directly by receiving the donation from you, plus the tax you would have paid on that donation from the Inland Revenue.
For example:
If you donate £10.00 a month to us from your salary, your gift will actually only cost you £7.80 as the Inland Revenue donates the extra £2.20. If you are a higher tax payer a £10.00 monthly donation will cost you only £6.00.
Any employee or pensioner paid under the Pay As You Earn scheme can donate direct from their salary.
How to do it
- Making a monthly donation is simple to organise. All you have to do is decide how much you want to donate each month and this can be deducted automatically each pay day.
- Check with your payroll department that your employer is registered to participate. If not they can register with ease by signing a contract with a Government approved agency, such as Charities Aid Foundation, their helpline number is 01732 520019.
- Once your employer has registered you just inform them of how much you would like to donate each month.
