Food & drink
We have a wide variety of options to choose from, ranging from our Island Restaurant to kiosks located in convenient locations around the Zoo.
We're committed to protecting wildlife so you can be sure that our food and drink is ethically and locally sourced whenever possible.
Located in the heart of the Zoo and overlooking Gibbon Island, the Island Restaurant is the ideal place to stop for a morning coffee, breakfast ciabatta, lunch or afternoon tea.
We serve a wide range of food, from chef made sandwiches and baguettes, main meals, salads and hot or cold filled jacket potatoes. We also offer easy pick up lunch boxes for children.
The Island Restaurant is open daily from 10.00 a.m. until half an hour before the Zoo closes. Please check our closing times depending on the time of year. There is plenty of seating inside, or on sunny days why not enjoy your meal on the lawn outside the restaurant?
Rainforest Café Bar
Located immediately next to the Island Restaurant, the Rainforest Café Bar is fully licensed, serving a selection of beers, lagers, wines & soft drinks.
There is plenty of seating inside or out on the patio for those lovely sunny days. So why not enjoy a refreshing drink in our bar whilst watching the gibbons playing in the trees?
The Rainforest Café Bar is open seasonally, however alcohol is also available in the Island Restaurant.
This kiosk serves gourmet burgers (made from 100% local beef) to Red Tractor chicken burgers with home-made spicy salsa and Spanish style sausages made locally at Churston Farm from outdoor reared pork. We also offer the finest palm oil free chips, made from British potatoes.
Baboon Rock (seasonal)
This coffee shop and takeaway offers a range of Chunk pasties (locally and lovingly made in Ottery St Mary, Devon), fresh ground coffee (specially blended for Paignton Zoo), tea and hot chocolate, Westcountry ice cream and a selection of cold drinks.
