How long have you been a keeper?
Nearly 6 years.
Why did you become a keeper?
Because I’ve always loved animals!
What is the best thing about the job?
Getting up close to and working with some amazing birds
What is the worst thing about the job?
Working outside when the weather is rubbish!
Which animals do you work with at the Zoo?
Flamingos, pelicans, cranes, water fowl and some of the more dangerous species such as owls, ostrich, cassowary and marabou storks.
What is you favourite animal at the Zoo?
Marabou stork.
Why is Paignton Zoo so special?
I visited the Zoo as a child - it’s great to see how it has developed into what it is today.
Where are you from originally? Where do you live now?
I was born and live in Paignton.
