Be a Keeper for a Day
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience what goes on behind the scenes at the Zoo? Do you want to get up close to our animals and really get stuck in? Well here is your chance!
Spend the day behind the scenes with some of our zoo keepers and get involved with the daily routine of caring for our animals, including food preparation and even mucking out. But most of all spend time with some of the world's most endangered animals. But be warned this is not just the chance to meet some of our animals close up, you will be expected to 'muck in' and 'muck out'!
- Age limit: You must be 15 years* or over to take part in this experience
- Length of experience: 1 day

- Days: Tuesdays and Saturdays
* Junior Keeper For The Day experience (ages 8 to 15 years) is not available at Paignton Zoo, however it is available at Torquay's coastal zoo, Living Coasts, and at Newquay Zoo, Cornwall (please note these links will take you through to the exact page you need).
