An unprecedented phenomenon has been captured on audio at Paignton Zoo this Easter, as the various birds species have synced up their birdsong to imitate pop sensation Taylor Swift, seemingly in preparation for the arrival of the migratory swifts.
Dr. Robyn Finch, lead ornithologist at Paignton Zoo, expressed her astonishment at this extraordinary occurrence:
“We’ve never encountered anything quite like this. Our resident wattled cranes, Sumatran laughingthrushes, and even our elusive kiwi, Manu, have been harmonising in ways that defy conventional bird song. Their melodies echo some of Taylor Swift’s greatest hits, from ‘Love Story’ to ‘Blank Space’.”
The zoo’s audio recordings, taken on the morning of 1 April, reveal intricate trills and lilting notes that bear an uncanny resemblance to Swift’s chart-topping tunes.
Dr. Finch added:
“This phenomenon has never been captured on audio before. It’s as if our feathered friends are rehearsing for their own avian concert.”
