Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust - Charity Trustee

This position is honorary but reasonable expenses will be paid.

Part-time (Board meetings take place on the Thursday of each month, between 12:00noon – 16:00pm).

The WWCT is a conservation and education charity which owns South West Environmental Parks Ltd, the operating company for Paignton Zoo, Newquay Zoo, and Living Coasts, with a turnover of £12 million; 800,000 visitors per annum and 250 staff.

The WWCT is seeking new trustees to complement the skills and experience of the current Board. In addition to fulfilling the statutory duties of a Charity Trustee each is expected to use their skills, knowledge and experience to help the Board reach sound decisions in the governance and management of the Charity.

The Board wishes to develop its expertise in finance, business management, fundraising, marketing and land/estate management. It is particularly keen to attract suitable applicants based in Cornwall.
