 Simon Tonge became the Executive Director of Paignton Zoo Environmental Park in 2000. Simon knew from a very young age that he wanted to run a zoo. After taking a degree in zoology he became a keeper at Jersey Zoo. He then took time out to study accountancy before becoming the Senior Curator at London Zoo. His mix of animal experience, conservation knowledge and financial management training has stood him in good stead for his current demanding role.
